I’ve had a lot of fun conversations discussing about what it takes to make a product of the scale and complexity as the PhonePe SmartSpeaker, and when I started writing what it takes, I quickly realised that writing it as a blog post or even a series of blog posts wouldn’t do justice to the complexity and interconnected-ness of everything that goes in.

Luckily, I found the perfect tool for this - a mindmap. I’ve tried to capture the essence of everything that goes into making a product like this. Instead of providing answers (some of which are highly specific to context, and some of which are proprietary), I’ve provided a set of questions to help navigate the complexity of building and maintaining this product.
